"I really wanted to like it, but the..."
I really wanted to like it, but the content just wasn’t good. The overall quality felt rough, and by the end I was wondering what happened. It was a bit of a disaster for me.

"audio sounds way cleaner now"
i’ve been using this to clean up my voice recordings and it actually makes a big difference. there’s still a little background noise here and there, but overall my audio sounds much clearer than before...

"Pretty decent, but I still had to double-check a lot"
I tried Captions for a few videos, and my first thought was, okay, this is definitely saving me some time. The captions were mostly fine, but then I’d hit parts where the audio was a little fast or there was background noise, and I’d be like, hmm… that’s not quite what was said. So it’s useful, but not something I’d trust without reviewing. I ended up editing more than I expected, but it still helped overall. I’d say 3 stars feels about right.

"Missing a few basic things, honestly"
Captions.com is, like, okay for simple videos and all that, but it kind of felt a bit unfinished for what I actually needed. Some of the editing options are just limited, so I ended up having to use another app to finish everything the way I wanted. The captions themselves are decent, I guess, but I was expecting more control over the styles and export options. It’s not terrible or anything, just, you know, not quite enough features yet

"Helpful teleprompter, but it feels a little clunky"
The teleprompter has definitely helped me record videos faster, so I do appreciate that. But it can feel a bit clunky sometimes, and I wish the whole experience was smoother. Also, it’s kind of frustrating that there doesn’t seem to be any real human contact when you need help, it feels like you’re just left figuring things out on your own. Overall, it’s useful, but not perfect.

"Decent for the price, but needs checking"
I tried captions.com to translate a few videos, and overall it did an okay job. It usually got the main point across, but some sentences came out sounding a little awkward or didn’t quite match the context. I had to go back and fix a few parts myself, which was a bit annoying. For the price, it’s not a terrible option, but I wouldn’t rely on it completely if you need the translations to be really accurate.

"Export quality wasn’t what I expected"
I saved a backup just in case, and I’m glad I did because the video looked noticeably blurrier after export. Maybe there’s a setting I missed, but the result was frustrating compared to what I saw before exporting.

"Good when it works, but the desktop app lags"
I use the captions desktop app mostly when I need quick captions for videos, it does the job fine. The auto captions are actually decent and save me a good amount of time.
That said, the app can feel really slow on my laptop sometimes, especially when I’m uploading bigger files or trying to export. It even froze on me once and I had to restart the whole thing?!
Overall, it’s not bad, but it definitely doesn’t feel super smooth yet. I’d probably give it 3 stars for now

"I tried using the eye contact correction..."
I tried using the eye contact correction, it made my eyes look fake and kind of jumpy. Like, I know it’s supposed to help, but it gave off this weird “the software is secretly puppeteering my face” vibe. I spent a bunch of time adjusting settings, hoping I could make it look natural, but it still looked off enough that I couldn’t use it in my video. Disappointing.

"Shockingly simple subtitle styling"
I was fully prepared to waste an afternoon figuring out subtitle settings, because apparently that’s how these things usually go. But this was actually super easy. Changing fonts, colors, and where the subtitles sit on the video was straightforward, and my videos look a lot cleaner now. Took barely any time to get the hang of it, which was a nice little plot twist. Happy with it.

"Keeps crashing after promising a smooth edit"
I really wanted this app to work, especially since it makes it sound like editing Captions will be quick and easy. But it keeps freezing in the middle of edits, and sometimes it won’t even open. I’ve already lost my work twice, which is so frustrating. It promised a reliable editing experience, but it hasn’t delivered at all.

"Maybe I caught it at a bad time, but the voice felt off"
I might’ve just tried it at the wrong time or during a rough update, but the AI voice didn’t sound very natural to me. It came across a bit robotic and kind of pulled me out of the experience

"Refund came through quickly"
I was mostly focused on getting my money back without a hassle, and that part went really smoothly. The refund showed up fast, and the support person I dealt with was polite and easy to work with

"Subscription stuff is always a hassle"
The app itself is fine, but dealing with the subscription was kind of annoying. I feel like every app makes this harder than it needs to be. It took me a few minutes to figure out where to cancel or change it. Not the worst thing ever, but it could definitely be more straightforward.

I really wanted to like captions.com for making quick videos, but it was WAY more confusing than I expected. I spent too much time trying to figure out basic things and kept getting stuck. For something that’s supposed to be a simple tool, it just wasn’t worth the headache for me.

"App keeps freezing on me"
I like the idea of the app, I really do. But yeah, it keeps lagging on me, and whenever I try to export clips, it either freezes or just crashes. Frustrating.
